This assignment was all about getting out there. The criteria we had to follow is that the person should be unknown and the portrait should be simply lit. The image should tell a little bit about the person.
My particular image was taken at a new restaurant my husband and I decided to try out - The Chapman House. It is located in downtown Rochester, Michigan. It was a very pretty location. I simply asked our waitress if I could take a picture of her for a class I was taking and she was happy to help. She asked, should I be doing something? So I told her to pour the water. Overall, I like the image, however - now looking at it, I am starting to wonder about the white color on her shirt - and how I could fix that. Is it a shadow from the grey curtains?
